Yeah, this was a good entertaining ghost movie! I'd definitely recommend it, and I will have to see it again in the near future. I'm a bit confused with the ending though... anyone here want to try and explain what they got from it?
My three main questions are:
SPOILERS
1. Was there really a ghost?
2. What was with the scene with So-young and Min-jung in all white at the salt house?
3. Who was the guy that got the email at the end, and why is he getting the email anyway? |

1.yes there really was a ghost she was getting back at the people who had raped her and she was in the woman's dream
2.what do you mean all white what scene is that? unless you mean the little girl in white and girl that got raped in white when the little girl was playing with jacks?
3.I think the guy who got the email is the guy that raped the main character when she was younger and the ghost was returning the favor by killing her rapist |

Hmmm, more SPOILERS here:
1. Ok, this partly makes sense to me. The ghost was guiding So-yeung through her dreams then, right? However, I didn't think she was really getting back at the rapists... the other detective was doing all the killing, wasn't he? The cigarettes were causing hallucinations and poisoning them, I thought...
2. There is a scene after the crime is solved that shows So-yeung and Min-jung in the salt house together... apparently in spirit. They're all in white clothes and the house is filled with bright light. I now reckon this is to show that So-yeung has helped to bring Min-jung's spirit peace, as well as conquering one of her own demons (revenge).
3. Yes, I see this now that you've clarified it for me. Makes complete sense... except for the fact that I didn't think the spirit was doing the killings in the first place. |

Actually she was doing the killing the man that was the main character killed the LAST rapist that was in the interview room but the ghost killed the other guys she turned into the chemical w/e thing and sufficated them inside that's basically what she was doing |

Ok, I follow you then. Thanks for discussing this with me Shay, it's been very helpful analysis all in all.
I will be watching this again with my wife, probably before long. She wasn't here when I saw it and has expressed an interest in this one. I will bear all of your points in mind during the second screening and get back to this thread again.
Thanks again! |
