Gloomy Sunday
Gloomy Sunday is directed by Masato Harada, and the script is written by author Yasushi Akimoto, who penned the original horror classic "One Missed Call" series.
Synopsis:
The movies story revolves around a group of high school students who discover the deadly song by chance. With the help of third rate gossip magazine reporter, they try to solve the mystery and horror behind the song. But they soon come to know just how real, an urban legend can be.
The story of "Densen Uta" is apparently based on a suitably gruesome urban legend surrounding the Hungarian song entitled "Gloomy Sunday," which was alleged to have caused multiple suicides. Filming began in March, and the movie is set to open in Japan in August.
