Since there are no threads in here as yet I thought I would start an easy one. What was your last seen non Asian horror movie?I will get the ball rolling :D

The Descent-
I have seen this a few times now and I still like it.The movie is quite tense and suitabley claustrophobic, the action sequences are well done and there are some quite gruesome scenes along the way.The ambiguous nature of the ending does ruffle some feathers but not mine, anyway it's Directed by a fellow brit in Neil Marshall so i'm a little biased!
I give it a 7/10

The last non asian horror I saw Hellraiser. One of my absolute favorites, from the dark pick up lines, to the gruesome nature of the film. Beautiful.

Great film, when I first watched Hellraiser it scared the hell out of me,it's just so dark and twisted.Have you seen all the sequels?

Before I give my answer, I should say that The Descent is one of the best horror movies I've seen in a long, long time that didn't come out of Asia. I adore that movie.

Anywho, the last non-Asian horror I saw was...uh...Feast, I think. I highly recommend that movie. It's one of those 80s-style horror movies where crap happens and it's exciting and fast-paced without resorting to flashing boobs and bush all over the place.

Good, good .... another The Descent fan 8).Have you seen Dog Soldiers?Neil Marshall seems to have a knack of making great horror movies.
Feast is a riot isn't it?love the way each character is introduced and the creatures are randy little buggers arn't they? Brilliant movie!

Sadly, I haven't seen Dog Soldiers. I kept wanting to, and then buying and watching R-Point just exacerbated that desire, but I'm too poor for a movie rental right now and I can't seem to get this one website working where it's posted. Poo.

The intros were awesome in Feast. Mostly because the information was wrong so it's like, wtf, they lied to us! Plus, Jason Mewes is always made of win.

When you get the chance see Dog Soldiers seize it,it is hilarious in some places and imo the best werewolf movie ever made :D
Yeah you are right the introduction of the characters in Feast is all the more funny for the mis-direction,theyr'e having fun with the usual Hollywood stereotypes and it's funny as hell!

I'm very picky about werewolf movies. If the wolf looks completely terrible, I automatically hate the movie. Did you see Cursed? Worst movie ever, and that hurts me to say because I used to have such a huge thing for Joshua Jackson.

Cursed was TERRIBLE,I take your point about how the werewolves look, there is no real C.G.I in Dog Soldiers so the werewolves have a pretty retro look, but in a good way  It's a flat out great Horror/Comedy .... trust me,oh and you will love the character Spoon,he's great!!

No CGI? Oh, then I definitely have to watch. CGI has been kind of a downfall in horror quality. I think people have been trying too hard to show "Hey, look what we can do!" and forgetting to make it look less...animated. You know? I love old-school werewolves. And of course I'm going to say it doesn't get much better than An American Werewolf in London.

Agreed & agreed. An American Werewolf in London Was my favourite Werewolf movie up until Dog Soldiers,But Dog Soldiers just shaded it by virtue of having me laugh the hardest!!

The Company of Wolves is a pretty good werewolf movie, very surreal and full of subtext and metaphor.Angela Carter's book is brilliant too.
