I highly recommend this movie
one of the best "horror" korean movie I've seen
like a lot of korean horror movies, it's more like a drama movie with some horror part in it
I have to quote snowblood apple here (dont read everything on the link, massive spoiler menace :p stop after the first series of pictures)
Quote: Okay, maybe calling it brilliant is an overstatement, but for me, this is a film the likes of which I have never seen before. Essentially a drama, with horrifying menace thrown in for good measure – not to mention a mind-boggling mystery – A Tale of Two Sisters not only succeeds in scaring you, but at the same time reaches to some deep-seated longing or loneliness in your heart. This movie positively demands that the viewer immerses themselves emotionally in the melancholy and tense air of dread of the tale. Violent and unnerving, at the same time beautiful and touching, this is perhaps a horror movie unlike any other.
it's really really a mustseen |

I have something shameful to admit....
I have never seen this whole movie.
I have had it for like three years now on dvd, everyone says it is absolutely great and it from what ive seen its really good.
But for some reason, i fall asleep not even half way through the movie every single time i watch it. I dont know why, i just do. |

Nothing new to add I suppose, but I wanted to say that this is currently my favorite Asian 'horror' film. I didn't find it to be terribly scary in the long run, but the story is so well done and really hits you after you've watched the whole movie.
Beautifully shot and told in my opinion, this one is a must see! Oh, and I agree with the poster(s) who said that you should see this film at least twice. You'll catch on to so many more things after the first viewing. |
