Question about MotW...

How does one get involved in setting up the polls for MotW candidates? Is that left to Mods only? I have an idea or two for them, but I just wanted to approach the community before going on and setting one up. Maybe you guys want to wait until we get more participation... I don't know.

Obviously we don't update them weekly at the moment, but I tried and couldn't think of another name than Movie of the Week... lol. Movie of the Month would be too infrequent, don't you think? Maybe we should set a goal to post a new one every other week, whether people get in on the discussion or not. Hell, they can always chime in at a later date anyway, like I have on some of your previous MotWs.

Anyway, I thought it would be a good idea to keep it rolling. We have a few more new members and maybe a new MotW would get some of them involved? Also, it gives me at least one viewing where I don't have to look through the lists over and over trying to decide which one to watch next... lol.

Hmm well, so far, it seems that only an Admin has been posting the MOTW. I'm not sure if anyone else can post it. I never tried haha. Yes it's true that it's not being updated weekly and that's due to lack of time. When I first signed up, there wasn't a problem with having a MOTW weekly. Very Happy

Now everyone's busy. I think for most, school is in session again, right guys? Hehe.

I haven't been watching the movies much lately. My siblings usually play MMORPG games and it just leaves me with a slow connection. Sad

Plus, the videos I want to watch keep getting removed. If I watched them around the time I signed up, I would've been able to see all of them.

As for member involvement, I think at times people don't really have anything to discuss. We can post a lot of topics, but not even half will reply. It's not just this site. The same thing happens at other sites I'm on. Sometimes even I don't have anything to say. I'm not really sure how we can keep MOTW rolling.

Oh yes, I understand about busy schedules and typical forum trends and all. I hope it didn't sound like I was moaning or anything, I didn't mean to if it did.

It's cool though, I'll wait a bit longer to get an Admin response to my MotW query. If I hear nothing I may just take a shot at doing one and see what kind of response it gets... lol.

I've been messing with Veoh a lot lately anyway... trying to get it figured out. I had two flicks d/ling today, but then it ran an update and totally dumped my movies after receiving about 500MB. I did get Audition, but I may have screwed that up as well now... it seems to have disappeared. I'll have to check my backup hard drive and see if it's still there at least. I haven't watched it yet, so I hope it still is.

Oh yeah, Veoh... I think Veoh is messy haha. It's not very organized. You have to do a lot of searching sometimes just to find what you want and there are times when irrelevant search results appear. Sad

I watched Audition on YouTube, but part 9 was missing because it was removed. I think it was part 9. Anyways, I guess part 9 was the most graphic part? I don't know if the rest are still up on YouTube though.

I myself am having very very very bad computer problems right now and i am lucky to be here posting this.
i am on limited time right now so i guess i will get down to the nitty gritty.....
